In April, 2001, six weeks after losing his wife of 53 years, Joe L. Sharit, Jr. (often called Joe, Sr.) decided to visit his boyhood friend Bob Bellows, in Gulf Breeze, Florida. It was a long distance from North Palm Beach, so his son, Joe L. Sharit, III (Joe, III) decided to accompany his father on the trip. Bob and his wife June wanted to introduce Joe, Sr. to Evelyn Neal, as she had lost her husband some years ago. Evelyn thought it was a little soon for Joe, Sr. to meet anyone, and it was decided to instead introduce her daughter Robin to Joe, III. Well, that blind date on April 6th turned out to be virtually love at first sight: Robin and Joe, III were soon engaged, and were married on June 1, 2002.

Shortly thereafter, Evelyn and Joe, Sr. became friends and learned they shared a common interest in traveling. They took tours together, with Joe, Sr. flying from North Palm Beach to meet Evelyn to go abroad, and even joining the entire Neal family on a cruise to the Bahamas. On one tour to Italy, something happened ... and Evelyn and Joe, Sr. returned to announce that they too would soon be married.

Now, Joe, III is sleeping with his step-sister, who is also legally his wife. Joe, Sr. has a step-daughter that is also his daughter-in-law. When Joe, III, is happy with his mother-in-law, Evelyn, all is well, but when she is upsetting him, he is his wicked step-mother. Robin has to always be aware that her father-in-law has designs on her mother!
